Privacy policy

What we collect

• Your account. Your email address and a password (stored as a hash by our authentication provider), plus the brand details you enter: brand name, website, product category and country.
• Your Facebook connection. When you choose "Continue with Facebook", Meta gives Lime a read-only access token and your Facebook user id. We store the token encrypted and use it only to read the ad accounts you can see and the ad accounts you pick to sync. We never post, edit or spend on your behalf.
• Your advertising data. For each ad account you sync: campaigns, ad sets, ads, creatives (including images and video previews, which we copy so previews keep working), and daily performance numbers such as spend, impressions, clicks and results.
• Other analytics sources. If your workspace connects another analytics or attribution provider, we read the sales and attribution figures it reports for your ads.
• Public ad-library data. Ads that other brands run publicly, obtained from Meta's Ad Library through a data provider. This is public data and includes no performance numbers.
• Usage basics. Server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) kept briefly for security and debugging. We do not run advertising trackers.

How we use it

• To show you your own dashboards, creative previews and performance figures.
• To generate analysis and suggestions with an AI model. Ad text, image previews and performance figures from your workspace may be sent to our AI processor to produce that analysis; it is not used to train their models.
• To keep the service secure and working.

Data from Meta is used only to provide Lime to the person who connected it, in line with Meta's Platform Terms. We do not use it to build profiles of people, and we never sell it.

Who sees it

Your workspace is private to you and the people you invite to it. Other Lime workspaces cannot see your data. We share data only with the providers that run the service on our behalf: hosting (Vercel), database and file storage (Supabase), AI processing (OpenAI) and the ad-library data provider. Each is bound to handle it only for us. We disclose data otherwise only when the law requires it.

Cookies

Lime sets cookies only to keep you signed in and to remember which workspace you are viewing. There are no advertising or analytics cookies.

How long we keep it

• Your Facebook access token: until you disconnect Facebook in Settings, remove Lime from your Facebook settings, or the token expires (about 60 days without reconnecting).
• Imported advertising data: while your workspace exists. Delete the workspace, or ask us, and it is removed.
• Account data: while your account exists.
• Server logs: a short rolling window.

Your choices and rights

• Disconnect Facebook at any time in Settings → Meta ad accounts → Disconnect Facebook. The token is deleted immediately and syncing stops.
• Remove Lime under your Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites. Meta tells us, and we delete the connection the same way. See the data deletion page for the status of such a request.
• Ask us for a copy of your data, a correction, or full deletion of your account and workspaces.

Depending on where you live you may have further rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR or CCPA, and you can lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Requests from public authorities

If a government body, court or law-enforcement agency asks us for a user's data, we review whether the request is legally valid before acting, challenge requests we consider unlawful, disclose only the minimum the request specifically requires, and keep a record of every request and our response. We have not received any such request to date.

Security

Access tokens are stored encrypted, every workspace is isolated in the database, connections use HTTPS, and administrative access is limited to the people who run Lime.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we update the date above and tell signed-in users on their next visit.
